P. Kotianova et E. Matisova, Liquid-phase microextraction and its utilization for trace analysis of organic compounds in water matrix, CHEM LISTY, 94(4), 2000, pp. 220-225
The liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) is based on principles of classic l
iquid-liquid extraction (LLE), but only small amounts of solvents are used.
The volume of a solvent is usually less than 2 ml (the smallest volume is
a droplet). The water sample volume varies in a wide range (from several mi
llilitres to several litres). The use of the method for isolation and preco
ncentration is reviewed.
