Abstract
A nonlinear chiral quark model with topological ghost terms is proposed. Th e couplings among the light-flavor quarks, the Goldstone bosom nonet and th e topological ghost field are consistently incorporated in the model. The i nclusion of the ghost field coupling is demanded by describing correctly th e effect of the axial U(1) anomaly. Some features of the model are discusse d.
