Jd. Frizzi et al., Lymphoma arising in an S-pouch after total proctocolectomy for ulcerative colitis - Report of a case, DIS COL REC, 43(4), 2000, pp. 540-543
The gastrointestinal tract is the most common extranodal site of primary no
n-Hodgkin's lymphoma. We present a case of a 50-year-old male with primary
B cell lymphoma arising in an S-pouch eight Fears after a total proctocolec
tomy for ulcerative colitis. After chemoradiotherapy the patient remained a
symptomatic, with an intact S-pouch. Pouch conservation is feasible in pati
ents with primary lymphoma of the pouch, using chemoradiotherapy and close
follow-up examinations.
