The heat capacity, softening temperature, and crystallization temperature o
f BeF2, LiF-BeF2 (4, 7, 7.5, 9, and 10 mol % LiF), and KF-BeF2 (6.5, 12, 17
, and 27 mol % KF) glasses were determined by differential scanning calorim
etry. For BeF2, the softening temperature was measured as a function of the
heating rate. The results are interpreted in terms of glass structure.
