Agenor Linea is a similar to 1500 km long, similar to 20-30 km wide geologi
cally young zone of deformation on Jupiter's icy moon, Europa. On the basis
of recent Galileo high-resolution images, we interpret Agenor Linea as a s
trike-slip zone formed in three stages by a combination of lithospheric sep
aration, extension, and dextral horizontal shear. Agenor Linea exhibits exc
ellent examples of strike-slip duplexes in an icy lithosphere, unobscured b
y vegetation and unaltered by erosion.
