Va. Namiot, LIQUID-HELIUM AND ITS POSSIBLE USE FOR HOLOGRAPHY OF MICRO-OBJECTS (ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRONIC) AND FOR MICROLITHOGRAPHY, Physics letters. A, 230(1-2), 1997, pp. 126-131
We consider the possibility to use liquid helium for some applied prob
lems such as holography of micro-objects (including biological objects
like macromolecules and viruses) with spatial resolution of the order
of nanometers, microlithography, and for the creation of electron sou
rces. In the first part we discuss the possibility of acoustic hologra
phy of micro-objects submerged in liquid helium. In the second part we
discuss the possibility of electron holography when liquid helium is
used as an emitter of electrons. In the third part we discuss some pro
perties of such emitters which probably may be applied to microlithogr
aphy where electrons are used. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science
