Statfjord Field 4d project - Initial results

The 4D-seismic project at the Statfjord field was initiated in 1997 and the results are currently used in the evaluation of well targets. Data input i s 3 seismic surveys processed in parallel, about 180 wells with logs correc ted to the seismic acquisition times, and reservoir simulation grids. Obser vations of water-flushing, pressure changes and gas accumulations are confi rmed through well observations. It is currently a requirement for the Statf jord field to verify all new well locations with input from the 4D data.
