Abstract
We have used a modified version of the comet assay to detect DNA cross-link ing in primary ovarian cancer cell cultures. This assay combined with paral lel measurements on cytotoxicity and gene expression has proved valuable in highlighting a possible novel mechanism of resistance. In addition an inte resting correlation between the expression of two genes was obtained. The c omet assay could become a valuable tool in patient profiling Drier to the s tart of chemotherapy.
