Fungal infections are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among immu
nocompromised patients. Invasive fungal sinusitis is a devastating complica
tion of immunosuppression. Treatment options are limited and often ineffect
ive, making prevention important. Measures to decrease environmental exposu
re, indications for antifungal prophylaxis, and limitations of current regi
mens are discussed.
