Resistivity, magnetoresistivity, magnetisation, and thermoelectric power of
several USb crystals, grown with resistivity ratio RR = rho(300 K)/rho(4.2
K) ranging from 1.6 to 13, have been examined in the temperature range 30
mK-300 K and in magnetic fields up to 14 T. Minimum of the resistivity betw
een 8 and 14 K and maximum of the thermoelectric power at ca. 40 K, both de
pendent on the RR value, have been observed. Similarity of the observed beh
aviour to that specific for paramagnetic Kondo impurity system is pointed o
