Magnetization of Ce0.75La0.25B6 has been measured under uniaxial pressure P
similar or equal to 0.11 GPa applied parallel to the [1 1 0] direction in
magnetic fields H up to 5T at temperatures between 0.4 and 3 K, with a spec
ial interest in the strain effect on a new exotic ordered state (phase-IV).
The magnetic susceptibility chi of phase-IV, which is isotropic at P = 0,
becomes remarkably anisotropic under pressure as chi([1 1 0]) > chi([1 1 0]
), indicating that the magnetic state of phase-IV is very sensitive to the
uniaxial strain. Effect of pressure is also evidenced in the magnetic respo
nse in phase-m antiferromagnetic state especially at low-field region. (C)
