Abstract
The wavelengths and oscillator strengths for the 3p-4s, 3p-4d, 3p-5s and 3p -5d transitions appearing in the soft X-ray spectra of the iron ions Fe IX to Fe XIV have been investigated theoretically using the relativistic Hartr ee-Fock (HFR) approach including the most important cofiguration interactio n and relativistic effects. Comparisons between our new gf-values and the f ew theoretical results previously published for the iron ions of interest a re also discussed in the present paper.
