Using the Brusselator model, we show that in a simple dynamical system smal
l noise can be converted into stochastic spikewise oscillations of huge amp
litude (bursting noises) in the vicinity of a Hopf bifurcation. Small perio
dic signals with amplitude several times less than the noise intensity tran
sform these stochastic oscillations into quasiperiodic large-amplitude spik
ewise oscillations or small-amplitude quasiharmonic oscillations, depending
on the signal form.
