Abstract
We will consider the nonlinear resonant three-wave interactions of Alfven w aves. By using both analytic developments and numerical calculations, furth er insights into the nature of these nonlinear wave interactions are given. The wave interactions are shown to be non-explosive and to lead to a perio dic energy exchange. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
