Yv. Orlov et al., Two-body potential model for the doublet neutron-deuteron system and effects of long-range interaction, PHYS ATOM N, 63(3), 2000, pp. 328-335
In order to describe the doublet nucleon-deuteron system at low energies, T
omio et al. [Phys. Rev. C 35, 441 (1987)] proposed a two-body model featuri
ng a potential whose asymptotic behavior is consistent with the Faddeev equ
ation-that is, a potential involving a long-range component. The characteri
stics of the bound and the virtual triton and the position of the pole of k
cot delta-these quantities were not considered in the above article of Tomi
o et al.-are calculated in the present study. A comparison of the results o
btained in this way with analogous results for the short-range Hulthen and
Yukawa potentials reveals that, for the doublet neutron-deuteron system, th
e effects of long-range interaction do not play a significant role-that is,
the system in question is far from a state of the Efimov type. (C) 2000 MA
