Abstract
The kinematics of the pin-disc and of the disc-disc friction and wear test machines is considered, taking into account the main geometrical errors pro duced by construction tolerances; some observations are then proposed on th e efficiency of various constraint solutions in controlling the experimenta l conditions minimizing the effect of such errors.
