Abstract
A mixture of 1(3),2-di-0-acyl-3(1)-O-beta-gentiobiosylglycerols was isolate d from a sea isolate of Bacillus pumilus. The components of the mixture wer e structurally characterized by mass spectrometry and H-1 and C-13 NMR spec troscopy data for the native compounds and their derivatives. The predomina nt component contains two C-15 acyl groups, while the second component cont ains C15 and C-17 fatty acids. Six minor components differ in residues of f atty acids and/or their combinations.
