The Low-latitude Ionospheric Tomography Network (LITN) is used to investiga
te the seasonal behavior of the equatorial anomaly in the Asian Sector duri
ng a period of solar minimum. Seasonal variations of the location, the time
of occurrence, and the height and the electron density of the maximum peak
of the anomaly are studied, The starting time for the development of the a
nomaly and the lifetime of the whole phenomenon are also investigated. Exte
nsion of the work for possible 4D monitoring of the ionosphere using COSMIC
data is discussed.
