Abstract
A new synthesis of racemic naturally occurring neolignan 1 possessing a PGI (2) inducing effect was achieved via the 2,3-dihydrobenzo[b]furan derivativ e 2, starting from the commercially available materials o-vanillin and acet ovanillone. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
