In this study, three defined spreading types of polyester filaments-evenly
divided, one-sided, and tight section types-acre adopted to analyze the twi
sting of model assemblies. The experimental results reveal that filament sp
reading behavior is the main factor influencing the structure of composite
yarns. If the polyester multifilament spreads effectively and divides evenl
y after passing through a spreading electrode, the percentage of the unifor
mly distributed area of the composite yarn structure will be 43.0%.
