Abstract
This article proposes a method for the determination of the chloride conten t of cement by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis with addition of KCI. The amount of chloride added corresponds to the upper limit permitted by the Sp anish regulations for cements. This enables a quick and easy test to be app lied to other building materials, e.g. concrete, mortars and plasters.
