The Dzhida Caledonide zone in Buryatia and its framing is a system of
gently and high dipping tectonic plates of Riphean metamorphic complex
es overthrust on the Caledonian terrain of the Dhida zone and Mesozoic
complex of Malo-Khamar-Daban volcanic structure. The process of thrus
ting was accompanied with the formation of olistostrome, then with the
formation of isoclinal folds, structures of plastic current and melan
ge, tectonization of olistostrome, protrusive injection of ultrabasite
and calcareous tectonic erratic masses, and it was conditioned by the
southward movement of the Angara-Anabar block of the Siberian craton
(in the present coordinates).
