Abstract
A method of heart retraction during coronary artery bypass operations is de scribed. The technique improves exposure of the coronary arteries, especial ly of the circumflex and posterior descending coronary branches during graf ting. In addition, it is simple, safe, and inexpensive. Furthermore, this t echnique can be applied for off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery. (C) 20 00 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
