Abstract
Using colloidal gold-labeled, VirB2-specific antibodies, it was established that VirB2 protein are able to elaborate long flexible or short pilus stru ctures, which emerge at the poles of acetosyringone (AS)induced agrobacteri al cells, but were never observed of the surface of untreated agrobacterial cells and cells lacking Ti-plasmid. Colloidal gold complex is attached per iodicaly to pilus-like structures.
