Abstract
Deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary thrombosis in situ are rare in childhood and adolescence [1,2]. Unfortunately, these diagnoses may be unsuspected in a pediatric patient with dyspnea and chest pain. Thi s article illustrates the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges that arose from unrecognized chronic thrombotic disease in an adolescent. (C) 2000 Wil ey-Liss. Inc.
