Deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary thrombosis in situ
are rare in childhood and adolescence [1,2]. Unfortunately, these diagnoses
may be unsuspected in a pediatric patient with dyspnea and chest pain. Thi
s article illustrates the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges that arose
