The characteristics of high-T-c step-edge or bicrystal junctions and SQUIDs
are examined. The IcRn product of junctions was found to be proportional t
o (j(c))(p) with p similar to 0.5 over several orders of magnitude in j(c)
and at various temperatures. The V - Phi and noise characteristics of SQUID
were compared with the numerical expression of Enpuku et al. We demonstrat
e that 1/f noise can be induced with an applied external magnetic field. Th
e microwave radiation reduces the modulation depth, V-pp, distorts the V -
Phi curve, and decreases the field sensitivity of SQUID magnetometers.
