Copolymeric hydrogel systems based on acrylamide, acrylic acid, and acrylon
itrile characterized by anomalous swelling in a number of organic solvents
(especially in dimethyl sulfoxide) are synthesized. The results obtained co
rrespond to the Hildebrand-Gee theory. The developed hydrogel systems can b
e used for the transdermal transport of water-insoluble drug preparations.
