Abstract
The first known sub-fossil of a spider belonging to the genus Archaea Koch Sr Berendt is described from the Copal of Madagascar. The new species was f ound in the Province of Antseranana (Diego-Suarez) in the northern part of the island. It bi longs to the family Archaeidae. The genus Archaea is ende mic in Madagascar.
