Abstract
With the rapid proliferation of cellular telephones, there is concern regar
ding the detrimental effect of the electromagnetic waves on the human body.
As a method to reduce the absorbed power (SAR) in the human body, a cellul
ar phone with two antennas is proposed. As the simplest model, two line cur
rent sources placed on the two-dimensional cylindrical human head and its n
eighborhood are considered. The structure is compared with a single line cu
rrent source on the human head. From the numerical results, it is shown tha
t the total absorbed power can be reduced by 10% and the peak SAR to one-qu
arter. (C) 2000 Scripta Technica, Electron Comm Jpn.
