Abstract
A 200Gbit/s optical eye diagram, which was generated by compressing and fou r-multiplexing a 10Gbit/s optical signal, has been clearly observed by usin g an optical sampling system. The time resolution was 1.25ps and the timing jitter was 160fs with a timing-jitter reduced gain-switched optical pulse, and the 3dB bandwidth of the optical frequency was 310GHz.
