Abstract
The levels of Bax and Bcl-2 expression after 10.8 Gy radiotherapy are usefu l prognostic markers in patients with human cervical carcinoma. Thermoradio therapy was found to result in better treatment responses than radiotherapy for patients with stage IIIB cervical carcinoma. An additive or synergisti c antitumor effect of thermoradiotherapy is likely to occur through inducti on of apoptosis involving one of the bax pathways.
