Several aphid species are reported as newly established in Florida and/or t
he southeastern United States, including Acyrthosiphon kondoi Shinji,Aphis
amaranthi Holman, Brachycaudus helichrysi (Kaltenbach), Coloradoa achilleae
Hille Ris Lambers, Hyadaphis coriandri (Das), Hyperomyzus carduellinus (Th
eobald), Melanaphis sp., Sehizaphis rotundiventris (Signoret), Shivaphis ce
lti Das, Takecallis arundicolens (Clarke), and Toxoptera citricida (Kirkald
y). Further establishment records are reported for Trichosiphonaphis polygo
ni (van der Coot) that was previously reported from a few counties in Flori
da and Georgia. Recent Florida finds are reported for three native species,
including Aphis minima Tissot, Kaltenbachiella ulmifusa (Walsh & Riley), a
nd Uroleucon elephantopicola Robinson. Identification information is provid
ed for newly introduced exotic species.
