The high-spin states of At-206 have been studied in the Au-197 (C-12,3n) At
-206 reaction at C-12 energies from 60 to 80 MeV using technique of in-beam
gamma-ray spectroscopy. Measurements of gamma-ray excitation functions, ga
mma-gamma-t coincidences, and gamma-ray angular distributions were performe
d. A level scheme for At-206, including a 10(-) isomer with a measured half
-life of 908 +/- 400 ns, was established for the first time. The characteri
stics of the 10(-) isomers in doubly odd At-206 nuclei were stressed.
