Abstract
La-Zn substituted Sr-ferrite thin films were prepared by rf diode sputterin g. The magnetic and crystallographic properties of the films were investiga ted by vibrating sample magnetometry and x-ray diffractometry. It is found that the texture of the films sensitively depends on the amount of substitu tion. Both the saturation magnetization M-s and coercivity H-c increase wit h the increase of La-Zn substitution. The increase of H-c is caused, in par t, by the increase of K-1 due to the substitution.
