Abstract
Single crystal Co2MnGe Heusler alloy films were epitaxially grown on GaAs s ubstrates by molecular beam epitaxy. The films have the bulk L2(1) crystal structure as determined by reflection high energy electron diffraction patt erns and x-ray diffraction. A high saturation moment of 1006 emu/cm(3) at r oom temperature has been measured. Ferromagnetic resonance of these ordered alloy films shows narrow linewidths and a small anisotropy. A room tempera ture resistivity of 115 mu Omega cm and a 0.11% anisotropic magnetoresistan ce has also been determined. (C) 2000 American Institute of Physics. [S0021 -8979(00)65208-8].
