Abstract
Objective: To report on our experience of laparoscopic ureterolithotom y. Patients and methods: Since June 1993, 10 patients with large urete ral calculi have undergone laparoscopic ureterolithotomy at the Depart ment of Urology of the Charite Hospital, Medical School of the Humbold t University, Berlin. Results: Of the 10 procedures, eight were succes sfully completed by means of laparoscopy. Two procedures were converte d to open surgical ureterolithotomy. The mean operative time was 100 m in. The post-operative stay in hospital was 1-4 days. Conclusions: Lap aroscopic ureterolithotomy involves minimal post-operative discomfort, short hospital stay and rapid convalescence.
