Abstract
Study of the Sr5Ga3F19-Sr2ZnGaF9 system shows two solid solutions derived f rom the two limit phases. The first close to Sr5Ga3F19 is disordered with Z n2+ and Ga3+ statistically in the octahedral sites; it shows a ferroelectri c behaviour. The second close to Sr2ZnGaF9 presents a cationic order and an tiferroelectric properties. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reser ved.
