ON THE PROBLEM OF ONTOLOGICAL STATUS OF T HE PRIMARY SET

Analysis of D. N. Uznadze's writings is proposed, mainly the early one s related to the development of the so-called biospheric psychology. I t was shown that D. N. Uznadze during all his life was adherent to the biospherical version of the interpretation of the set. Repudiation of this version was not determined with the logic of the concept develop ment, it can be rather explained with the situation in scientific soci ety Uznadze belonged to. On the basis of the quotations from his writi ngs attributes of the primary set are extracted. It is proved, that th e existing opinions on the primary set nature do not enfold its basic attribute, namely, the function of mediating the relation between ment al and trans-mental.
