Pediatric perineal impalement injuries are relatively uncommon. There may b
e difficulty in recognizing or properly treating such injuries, because the
ir severity may not be reflected accurately by the external appearance of t
he perineum, The authors describe 3 case reports of patients with perineal
impalement injuries and their management. The authors emphasize how a thoro
ugh workup can prevent missed injuries, leading to timely surgical repair a
