Abstract
The influence of H2O2 and Fe(III) in the degradation of nitrobenzene in aqu eous solutions combined with UV radiation has been studied. A major efficie ncy is achieved when UV is combined with H2O2 or Fe(III). Likewise, H2O2 an d Fe(III) concentration has an important effect on the degradation. Nitroph enol isomers are detected as the major intermediate products. (C) 2000 Else vier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
