Abstract
Absolute photoionization cross sections are presented for Mg+ ions in the p hoton energy range 25-160 eV. The assignments of the structures seen are di scussed and compared with earlier assignments derived from photographic mea surements. Good agreement is found with theoretical calculations of the con tinuum cross section, whereas the agreement with calculations of the oscill ator strengths and of the line positions is less satisfactory.
