Abstract
The tricatenar, hydrogen-bonded complexes formed between alkoxystilbazoles
and an imine were found to be mesomorphic. Subsequently, related tetracaten
ar complexes were also investigated and found to be non-mesomorphic. We rep
ort the transition temperatures of these complexes and discuss structural m
odifications.
