Discrimination between the soil yeast species Williopsis saturates and Williopsis suaveolens by the polymerase chain reaction with the universal primer N21
Gi. Naumov et al., Discrimination between the soil yeast species Williopsis saturates and Williopsis suaveolens by the polymerase chain reaction with the universal primer N21, MICROBIOLOG, 69(2), 2000, pp. 229-233
Thirty-five yeast strains of the genus Williopsis, analyzed by the polymera
se chain reaction with the universal primer N21, were found to belong to tw
o sibling species, W. saturnus and W. suaveolens. Such affiliation of the s
trains studied agrees well with the results of genetic and physiological in
vestigations.
