Zq. Meng et al., A genetic algorithm with an adaptive chromosome structure for reconstruction of radome parameters using a Gaussian beam, MICROW OPT, 25(5), 2000, pp. 323-327
A genetic algorithm with an adaptive chromosome structure is proposed to re
construct the electrical parameters of a multilayered radome of finite size
. In order to avoid the complicated scattering from the edges of the radome
, a Gaussian beam is used to illuminate the central area of the radome surf
ace. An adaptive chromosome structure technique is used to obtain a high co
nvergence rate through adjusting the searching range for each parameter. Nu
merical performance using this technique is compared with that of the conve
ntional genetic algorithm. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
