Abstract
We present a Monte Carlo study of the one and the two component phi(4) mode l on the cubic lattice in three dimensions. Using a finite size scaling met hod we determine the value of the coupling lambda at which leading correcti ons to scaling vanish. Using this result we obtain precise estimates for cr itical exponents.
