Abstract
Domain structures with in-plane magnetization are investigated in magnetica lly hard films. A magnetooptical setup designed for studying stray magnetic fields combines the advantages of the vibrating-sample magnetometer and th e magnetooptical method of signal detection. The sensitivity of measurement s of the stray field normal component is similar to 0.1 Oe. The criteria fo r choosing the optimal parameters of magnetooptical media for information r eadout are established. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
