Heteronuclear copper-, nickel-, or cobalt-containing rare-earth salicyliden
esemicarbazidates 2LnL(3). M(NO3)(2).nH(2)O and LnL(3).M(NO3)(2).9H(2)O wer
e synthesized. The compositions of the compounds were determined by element
al analysis, IR spectroscopy, magnetochemistry, and thermogravimetry, and t
he plausible structures are suggested. The compounds were found to be low-r
esistance dielectrics. X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that some o
f them gave perovskite-like double oxides as pyrolysis products.
