Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films were prepared from a polyamide salt (PAS) and
Rhodamine 200B (R200B). The optimum conditions for the preparation of the f
ilms were determined by studying the behavior of PAS-R200B-cetyltrimethylam
monium bromide monolayers at the surface of the aqueous phase. The spectral
characteristics of R200B in the LB films were studied and compared to the
luminescence spectra of the luminophore in aqueous and nonaqueous solutions
and in micelles formed by cationic surfactants.
