Abstract
The rupture strength of an aluminoborosilicate glass was studied as a funct ion of the water vapor pressure by using gravimetric adsorption measurement s and NMR to establish the mechanism of the Rebinder effect (disordering in the structure of the glass in the presence of water vapor).
