Abstract
A system of equations for describing the Gibbs adsorption isotherms for the adsorption of vapors on activated carbons with a nonuniform microporous st ructure were derived on the basis of a simple Ono-Kondo molecular model. It was shown that the derived equations quantitatively describe experimental isotherms over the entire range of relative pressures. The equations involv e physically reasonable parameters and yield size distributions of micropor es that coincide with those obtained by independent methods. The possibilit y of describing the temperature dependence of the adsorption was examined.
